It's Strava but for academics. Log writing sessions, build streaks, and earn honors. Turn the solitary grind of papers and grants into a shared sport. Academia could use a bit more fun, and writers who cheer each other on.
The activity
One session, like one run
Writing has no GPS to track you automatically, so we use a privacy focused browser extension. Every writing session has a start, a stop, and stats worth showing off.
Duration
A start/pause/stop timer tracks how long you actually sat down and wrote.
Words written
Before/after word counts, or paste in a delta. The number is the trophy.
Project tag
Label each session, a paper, a grant, a thesis chapter, etc.
Manual entry
Write offline? Log the session after the fact, like uploading a run by hand.
